June 14, Green River Fest!

We are bringing back the Green River Fest for another year! Register at the bottom of this page.


  • June 14, 2014 beginning at 9 am eastern time / 8 am central time



  • If you can navigate a canoe or kayak, we want to see you there!
  • There are a limited number of canoes available.  If you have your own canoe or kayak, please bring it to allow others without boats to participate.


  • Volunteers will meet to clean up the Green River, one of the most biologically diverse rivers in the country.  The event is free and each participant will receive a free canoe rental (with shuttle provided), lunch, a commemorative T-shirt, a water bottle, plus a chance to win a kayak!
  • …to bring?  We strongly recommend bringing:
    • a pair of gloves
    • sunscreen
    • insect repellent
    • a canoe (if you have one)
    • … and wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty!
  • NOTE: due to limited canoes remaining please wait on confirmation email for reservation!!! Multiple floats will be offered to appeal to all levels of water warriors! 2 people per canoe. (note: Hick Springs and WKU are private property access points intended for this event only!)

      • 6.5 river miles
      • Registration begins at 9:00 AM (central)
