KWA has submitted a letter to the Ohio River Valley Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) asking that the commission keep the current Pollution Control Standards (PCS) in place. Last year through a concentrated effort KWA, along with concerned citizens and other organizations, were able to to postpone the commission’s decision to vote on removing the standards. The commission is not letting the issue rest. It now wants to revise the standards again in way that we believe is harmful to the Ohio River and not in the best interests of the environment and the people who rely on the Ohio River for drinking water.
